Our story is not a short one, but Gordon has been part of it from start to finish: He helped us buy our house, six years ago, wading into the treacherous waters of FHA 203K loan structures and such so that we could find a house that we could make our home. In doing this, Gordon passed up what would have been a bigger payday for him to help us get the results we wanted. He confidently, and honestly, led us through a process he hadn't done before and put in the extra time and effort to assure that we were getting what we wanted and needed. Over the following 6 years, he always kept in touch, checking in, being there if we needed a name for a contractor, or a window person, or whatever, as we lived in our wonderfully renovated rowhome. Gordon even send a plush doll Elephant when our kiddo was born (within months of his first). This past spring and summer we reached a moment we didn't think we would - a job opportunity taking us away from Philly. We called Gordon again. He walked us through all the options: keeping our home as a rental, putting it on the market, etc. Eventually, we decided to sell, being absentee landlords was not something we were interested in, and to buy a home in our new locale we would need the cash in any case. Gordon's advice of what needed repair and finishing up in our project house was spot on. His recommendation for the listing price, even more so. In the end, we got more than asking, and although we never intended to sell, we walked away with a lot of benefit from our sweat equity, and Gordon's expertise. The process was so smooth, it was beyond our wildest imagination.
